FRIDAY FAVORITES
Happy Friday (okay, happy ALMOST friday), guys and gals. It’s taken a few weeks to get this segment up and running as I have been super busy, and while this won't be weekly, I will try and post as many Fridays as I can. I am getting a head start on this tonight because I have classes tomorrow and then a long drive to see my family, so I worry I won't have time to post before the day is done. I just wanted to share a few of my favorites with you from the week!
Outfit:
Tank top and skirt- Forever21. Sandals- Franco Sarto
Blog: Cup of Charisma
I was browsing through one of the blogs that I follow online
and came across this really great piece about how awful it is when women bash
other women. It was a great read, if you have some time to kill when done
reading here, head over to Jillian's page and read it too.
Music:
I love Sara Bareilles already, one of my favorite songs is her version of "Sittin' on the dock of the bay". This song (and video) for sure had me choked up while watching it. (Gosh, I'm such a girl!! LOL)
Product: Garnier Fructis Marvelous Oil
So I moved to another state, and the
water in the state I am in now has made my hair feel so heavy and full of water
residue. I got this as a free sample in the mail first, and noticed a
difference right away. My comb runs so much easier through my hair, and the
heaviness I felt before isn’t there anymore. Once the sample ran out I bought a
full sized bottle. I use it every day. (And I got my mother hooked on it as well.)
Television: Pretty Little Liars summer
finale.
OH. MY. GOSH. I don’t want to spoil it
for anyone who watches the show and hasn’t had a chance to catch up, but OH MY
GOSH- Go watch it! And then let’s talk about it!
Science: Scientists 'unexpectedly' stumble upon a vaccine that completely blocks HIV infection In monkeys - clinical trials on humans planned! I'll let you read this one for yourself, as I may confuse you trying to explain it. I am a bit of a science nerd though (I suppose that's why I'm a nurse) and I love reading about things like this.
That's all for this weeks Friday Favorites! What are some of your favorite things from this week? I would love to hear back from you!
Remember to follow this blog on Instagram (@Amandaplease), and hope you all have a safe and healthy Labor Day weekend!
XO.

Thank you darling! There are so many great colors to pair this skirt with but I went with pink, because, well, it's pink! (And.. On Wednesdays, we wear pink!)

Lauren Elizabeth
Petite in Pearls
Thank you Lauren! These past few years I've really spent some time trying to get out of my comfort zone of what I would normally wear, it's been a lot of fun!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!

Thank you so much! I was so surprised finding this skirt at Forever 21, because it's not something I would ever typically find there. Maybe it's because the seasons are changing, but I found SO many kind of offbeat items there! (And they are so affordable which is a plus!)
ReplyDelete<3 Amanda!
Thank you! (Gotta love LBD weekend sales! Total jackpot with finding things!

Thank you so much! Looking forward to coming over and exploring your blog! Thanks for stopping by! <3
DeleteLove the outfit photo, especially loving that skirt! I'm so happy I found your blog. It's so cool that you are a nurse and you're into fashion too! I work in a stem cell research lab and people don't believe I'm into fashion, it's like science people can't also be fashionable?! I beg to differ! ;) I love how you include things outside fashion in your Friday Favorites posts. I loved the science tidbit! Looking forward to reading your blog posts! :)

I'm so happy you found my blog too, and vice versa! A stem cell research lab? That sounds like the coolest job ever, I'm actually pretty jealous right now! And I will agree that us science peeps are def fashionable! I'm so glad you enjoyed the post and I can't wait to read more from you as well. You're so sweet, glad to have made a new blogging buddy.
