I'm a fan of short and sweet when it comes to writing my posts. But I'll apologize because I've been a bit MIA when it comes to blogging lately, not only writing but reading so many of your blogs. Nursing school can get incredibly busy and stressful at times and with my health issues earlier this year, I just am a lot more tired than normal and I've had a hard time keeping up with any extracurricular activities such as this. I've really had to direct most of my energy to school and I know you all understand because things like school and furthering your career should always come first.
So the weather here in PA has been so back and forth lately. Some days it feels downright bone-chilling, and others I am comfortable in a light sweater. I took advantage of one of these not-freezing-cold days and wore this vintage skirt that was my grandmothers from either the 60's or 70's. It's not often that I am able to fit into her clothes as she was quite a lean woman, but I have a few items that wear that I really do cherish, and having a chance to wear them is always just the boost I need.
So... here are my outfit details: Sweater | Banana Republic. Shirt | Macy's. Skirt | Vintage (Unfortunately the tag has been cut out, otherwise I would offer more information). Booties | Nine West
I hope you are all having a wonderful week, and hope to catch up with you all over the weekend!
XO Amanda

Thank you! One of my favorite pairs of shoes too, I tend to gravitate towards black ankle boots, as my closet has about 4 different pairs sitting in it right now. (compulsive shopping at it's finest!) haha!
DeleteHappy weekend to you!!
I love your outfit, and that's amazing that the skirt was your grandmas! I have been having a hard time finding the time to read other blogs too. I have just been so busy... I feel guilty that I am not reading blogs every day but oh well, what can ya do... that's life! Did you just get a twitter? I tried looking for a link before and couldn't find one... anyways, glad I have your link now. Just added you! :)

I've had a twitter for a few years but didn't really advertise it because I never did much with it until recent. Glad to have a new twitter friend though!
DeleteAnd I totally get how you feel with the guilt, but I think most people understand that life happens, and we all get busy. I've yet to come across someone who was upset that I was behind in reading their blog (we are a cool, laid back bunch I like to think!).
TGIF! (Almost!) Hope you enjoy your weekend pretty girl!
Man nursing school was so rough on my sister in law and she didn't make it on her last semester :( I hope she is able to go back into it in the future. Great outfit :) Have a great weekend and get some rest. Rachel xo
ReplyDeleteOh boy that's awful to hear! She should definitely go back and finish up! Otherwise all that work will be for nothing! Best of luck to her!! And thanks, I'm glad you like the outfit! Have a great weekend too!

DeleteI feel you with school being hectic. I've been pretty MIA as well for the same reason! I'm trying to catch up on my blog reading list until I have some good content to post. I'm planning on making my next post on the award you nominated me for! Just need some outfit photos to include and I'll be set ;). I hope your health issues get resolved :( and I'm sure nursing school is super stressful itself, I commend you for having a blog at all haha. Whenever you are having a hard day just remember what a difference you'll be making when you're done :). You're going to make an awesome nurse! Oh, almost forgot to comment on your outfit! Duh, haha. It's amazing that that skirt is true vintage and even more amazing that it belonged to your very own grandmother. I love how you styled it! Very appropriate for the season :).

Well you have definitely been missed, missy! Can't wait to read your next post. Yay! I swear you always leave such thoughtful and kind comments <3. And I CAN'T WAIT to be done with school. I've been really lazy in transferring my Connecticut Practical Nursing license (I think they call it an LVN or Licensed Vocational Nurse over in Cali ;) .. ) over to PA, but I think I'm going to get it done over the holidays because I really want to start working again. We shall see though! And I love being able to wear some stuff that belonged to my grandmother. Even at 80 she's still a pretty classy dresser. (I like to think that's been passed down through the generations. Her mom was a model back, well, a long time ago too). Hope to start seeing you more with the semester soon coming to an end! XOX <3
