Collaboration: Dresslink (Part 2)

Welcome to Part II of my collaboration with Dresslink, an online fashion boutique based out of Hong Kong. I decided to break this post down into two parts because A) the items that I am featuring don't necessarily all go together as an outfit, and B) because I was way to excited to pick up this skirt I scored while on vacation a few weeks ago. I posted a photo of me on instagram wearing this skirt out to dinner, but due to poor lighting, the beauty in this skirt really wasn't captured. So here it is in all its glory, plus this adorable purse I received from Dresslink.

If you know me well, you already know my huge obsession with owls. While browsing the site, this purse immediately jumped out to me and I knew I had to have it.

I would say that the purse body itself is quite sturdy and put together nicely. My only issue with this item is that the seams on the straps are all frayed and I had to go in with a pair of scissors and carefully trim away any excess stitching. I did keep some thread in tact though because I was worried the strap would fall apart if I cut the frayed ends too short.

Also, how great are the details of this skirt? I love the print because it makes me think of Madeline, one of my favorite childhood books.

Outfit Details:
Sunglasses: Swiss Army
Necklace: I'm pretty sure this came from JCP although I'm not 100% sure!
Purse: Dresslink
Crop Top: Mandee
Skirt: Miss Finch via. Eros Apparel
Wedges: B.A.I.T. Footwear via. Zulily
Earcuff: Dresslink

I decided not to wear the ear cuff I received, although I do think it's kinda cool and very Game of Thrones-ish. The part of the earring that goes through your ear looked a bit sketchy though and I didn't want to risk an infection by putting it through my ears, mostly because of the fact that I hardly wear earrings and always have to slightly re-pierce them each time I put earrings in. Being a nurse, my first thought was that this was a portal for infection and some things just are not worth the risk. Here is a photo though:

Hope you enjoyed todays post, and be sure to have a look around the Dresslink website. Shipping is a bit pricy because it's coming from overseas, but they do have a Free Shipping page where all items posted ship free to the U.S. (and it's worth taking a look because of the great prices!). Take care and enjoy your week loves!

And as always, feel free to follow me on any of these other social platforms..

  1. The ear cuff looks wow! But you are right, it can be bad, avoiding any kind of infection is better! I loved the skirt, the print is so lovely! I think that Madeline is the one of a cartoon too - and in this case, so sweet; I didn't read the book, just saw the animation. The bag is sooo sweet, I love owls too! A very beautiful outfit, and you look lovely, very beautiful!

    1. Hahaha I prefer my ears infection free - although I'm sure it's fine to put in, I'm just a hypochondriac! And owls are the best - I knew we were kindred spirits!

  16. I'm so glad that your products from DressLink is great, I was surprised at how amazing their quality are too. I thought the clothes would suck because they are Asian online store but they turned out to be decent.

  20. You did an effective job of wearing this owl bag without it being way too over the top. I think that honestly might be because you paired so many exciting pieces together, so I'm a huge fan! The skirt is most definitely my favorite though, and indeed, very "Madeleine-ish"

    Cheers!
