So it's that day of the week again, and I'm excited (as always) to welcome back my friends from Tillystyle! While getting to know these lovely ladies the past few months and keeping up with their photographs on instagram (You can find them here), I've always paid special attention to how perfect Lilly's makeup always looks. Now lucky for me (and you, too!) Lilly has decided to give us our very own tutorial on how she achieves such a gorgeous, flawless look! ENJOY!
Lilly's Makeup Tutorial
Hello beautiful Tilly Tuesday readers! I thought it would be fun to show all of you a step by step tutorial on how I apply my eye makeup. I began experimenting with makeup my first day of high school and now (almost 7 years later) am in love with this look! The purple eye shadow is perfect for those busy school or work days, just add a dab of dark purple to the outer edges of the lid and you have a sultry and sweet look for those fun, crazy nights.
What I Use for This Look:
1. Bare Minerals crème de la crème eye shadow
2. Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Mascara
3. Bare Minerals Magnifique eye shadow
4. Bare Minerals Soul eye shadow
5. Wet n Wild black eye liner pencil
6. Eye liner blender
Step 1: Brush crème de la crème shadow to the entire lid.
Step 2: Sweep the Magnifique shadow from the outer edge of the lid to the center, making sure to blend the shadow as you get toward the center. This allows for the dark purple to fade into the light color shadow, giving off the smoky eye look.
Step 3: With the Soul shadow, dab the inner lid. You can also sweep it lightly under the eyebrow. This will make the appearance of your eyes larger.
Step 4: Apply black eye liner to your upper and lower lash line.
Step 5: If you want to create a more sultry look, blend the liner on your bottom lash line and add a darker purple shadow on the outer edge of your lid.
Step 6: Finish your look by sweeping mascara on your top and bottom lashes.
Have fun with your new look!
One thing for sure is that I will definitely be experimenting this week while on my fall break from classes. I've never been huge on makeup (I throw on eyeliner and mascara and call it a day), but for a year of many new beginnings, I'm thinking it's as good a time as any! Thanks again Lilly!
See you guys next week!
